What became of the previous protagonist and the cat girls is gradually told through a new cat-girl character. Just what happened at "Nekonarikan"? The full truth of "Neko Gurashi." still remains a mystery... And so begins "Shin, Neko Gurashi." ♪ Shin, Neko Gurashi. — Welcome to Nekonarikan. — The Cat God has been reborn into the present world as a cat, and the protagonist along with the other cat girls (Mike, Kuro, Shiro, Persia) are now living happily in the present world as well. Meanwhile, Siamese Cat has inherited the will of the Cat God and taken up the position of the new Cat God. The Kukonsai has been abolished, and Nekonarikan has become an even more heartfelt place—one that offers healing to the souls of people and creatures who have wandered into the boundary between this world and the next, as well as to gods and other guests. As a result, it has also become a place where those who died before their time (suicide, accidents) may stay temporarily. Unlike in the previous work, the new cat girls in this story have no connection to the curse of the Cursed Child (the protagonist). Siamese Cat, now the Cat God, sometimes scouts souls suited to becoming cat girls, who then work as cat girls. She brings her crisp, clear voice and portrays the Maine Coon cat girl's friendly personality beautifully. The massage using fragrant aroma oils on the arms, shoulders, head, and face is incredibly soothing. The cat toy play on both ears is also a rare and unique attempt. Time flows slowly at Nekonarukan. I feel like I want to stay a while longer.
This time, the healing duty at Neko Gurashi is handled by the Maine Coon cat girl voiced by Akari Kito. With a gentle, soft, and unhurried tone, she offers the listener a time of healing. What felt especially pleasant was the cat toy play on both ears. The comfortable rustling sound near the ears continued for over ten minutes, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. Also, the flow from tracks 8 to 9 has an incredible sleep-inducing effect. The Maine Coon girl's calm narration and massage should help you drift off to sleep comfortably. The natural ambient sounds playing in the background also set the atmosphere wonderfully, making for a truly healing experience.
I've purchased and listened to several works from this circle, but the one featuring the Maine Coon cat voiced by Akari Kito is my favorite. Her voice is soothing and relaxing, yet she speaks clearly and crisply, so the scenes come vividly to mind. Along with the voice actress's performance, a lot of effort has clearly gone into the ambient sounds too, so I'd recommend this not only for falling asleep but also for those times when you just want to relax and chill.
