[Home Grooming ASMR with Your Caring Hairdresser] Shonioya! ~The Sleep-Together Project~ Rio Takes Even Better Care of You♪ (CV: Konomi Kohara)

This is a so-called sequel, and the nice thing about sequels is the change in relationship — in this work too, the relationship with Rio has progressed a bit further from being close acquaintances in the previous work. The sound of the ear massage during the ear-cleaning part was personally an amazing hit. Ear cleaning tends to be a hit-or-miss thing depending on the person, but this circle consistently delivers great sound. Please do enjoy the healing time with the hairstylist onee-san.

You spend a healing moment with the hairstylist "Kouda Rio," voiced by Konohara Yoshimi. This time, you get to spend time with the hairstylist "Rio" again. In the previous work, I had the impression of her as a cool, reassuring onee-san, so I'm really happy to be able to spend time with "Rio" once more. Looking at the work's page description, it says "we've started drinking at each other's houses often," so I thought their relationship might be getting better, progressing even, and that made me feel warm inside. I'm looking forward to listening and finding out what kind of time we'll spend together this time. Hearing "Rio's" voice again after a while, I immediately thought, "Ah, I could fall asleep to this," so it seems like it'll be very relaxing. Below are some thoughts on the content (partial): In "Rio will dye your hair for you," just being talked to by "Rio" makes me feel happy. The way she happily talks about her recent life is just plain adorable, and I liked that. In "Rio wants to make you feel even better," the pleasant stimulation of having my hair washed by her felt so soothing that I could listen while zoning out completely. In "Should Rio shape your eyebrows for you?" being gently talked to while getting my eyebrows shaped created such a relaxed atmosphere that I found myself dozing off. In "You can feel even better with Rio's ear cleaning," just being talked to by "Rio" already feels pleasant, so the thought of getting my ears cleaned on top of that felt like pure bliss. In "Is it okay if Rio lies down next to you?", listening to "Rio's" breathing and whispers close to my ear was so soothing that I found myself listening intently, holding my breath. This is the second voice work featuring Kouda Rio, voiced by Konohara Yoshimi. It's great that the "Shonioya!" series keeps releasing works with the same character. Looking at the key visual drawn by Mirea-san, Rio looks like a cool onee-san, but when you actually listen to the work, she comes across as a very approachable onee-san — and combined with Konohara Yoshimi's performance, I couldn't stop thinking, "I want an onee-san like this to give me all sorts of suggestions and make me look cool too." I want to buy a whole cured ham leg just so I can get invited to her house. Rio isn't a character defined by obvious, easy-to-grasp traits, and Konohara Yoshimi's acting didn't feel like she was playing up a "character" persona either — but that's exactly why the natural performance gives her such a wonderful sense of realism. And yet her affection toward the protagonist (the listener) comes across as very high, so the restrained kiss at the end of Track 4 made my heart race. I do love characters who are seasoned with obvious, easy-to-read traits too, but sometimes it's nice to savor a work like this that's full of quiet, understated flavor. This work is a sequel to "Rio will take care of your grooming and heal both your body and heart, okay?", but it can be fully enjoyed as a standalone as well. Of course, you'll definitely enjoy it even more if you buy the previous work too, but for now, try starting with this one, and if you like it, please do check out the previous work as well.
