Captured by a Tribe Who Can't Speak My Language—But Sure Knows How to Clean Ears

I can't make out what's being said in Japanese (in the tribal language part), but that actually emphasizes the situation of being taken and done with as one pleases, which I really enjoyed. It was already enjoyable just from the sound alone, but hearing the native-language version afterward and going "ahh, so that's what they were saying" makes it a work you can enjoy twice.

If you heard the trial version and thought "could this be...?" - that means you're either around the same age as me and the circle creator, or you like the work this is referencing! Anyway, this work is about being captured by a mysterious tribe called the Guzon tribe, taken home, and given ear cleaning, with a total runtime of about an hour including both the Guzon-language version and the Japanese dubbed version. The voice actress Nyaru Pompom plays both roles, and her acting is so good you barely notice it's the same person - the ear cleaning sounds are also very comforting... It's solidly crafted as an audio work too, so it's great for things like helping you sleep! When listening, I recommend going in the order of Guzon-language → Japanese dub, as it heightens that feeling of being at their mercy and makes you happy I've rambled on with this review, but let me end with: Bongabujinpagigirobozan! An audio work a bit over an hour long (about 40 minutes each for the tribal language version and the Japanese version). The premise is that you get captured by a tribe (the Guzon tribe) who don't speak your language but who are skilled at ear cleaning. The voice actress Nyaru Pompom plays both roles. In the parts where they speak the Guzon language, you can't understand a word of what's being said, but the lines are full of voiced consonants (dakuten sounds), and I felt something in it that most other audio works don't have. Despite that, the ear cleaning sounds were still solid, and it was comfortable to listen to. I thought it was amazing that Nyaru Pompom could pull off this kind of acting. In my case, I watched the Guzon-tribe version that was released early on YouTube, then purchased the work and listened to the Japanese version afterward, and I enjoyed it more this way. After listening to the version where you don't understand what's being said but which still feels comfortable to listen to, then listening to the Japanese translation, you get to realize "oh, so this was the situation behind that conversation," which lets you enjoy it twice. This is an audio work in a genre where it's hard to differentiate yourself from other works, but this one managed to differentiate itself solidly. I think it deserves a 5-star rating, and it's a work worth recommending in a review.
