A cat beastman prince who's always fussing over others somehow. Originally, he and his brother were both princes beloved by the people. He can't stand to leave someone in trouble alone. That said, he's not entirely composed either—he has a side that likes to tease and pick on you. He doesn't understand what his own missing memories even are; all he does is worry endlessly about his "younger brother." He often says things like a true brother-complex would—that no one understands him better than his brother does, and that as long as his brother is well, he doesn't care what happens to himself.

The "nyaan nyan...♪" and the voice like a purring throat rumble... there was so much of that cat-beastman cat-ness, it was adorable to the max ヽ(´▽`)/ But this work isn't just bright and sweet the whole way through. His voice is basically cheerful, but every now and then he suddenly drops into a low, serious tone like a completely different person, which really makes your heart skip a beat. This Knight-kun mentions bit by bit that he seems to have a beloved little brother, but it seems there's a deep, dark past behind it...? And the way he shows such obsessive attachment toward the heroine seems deeply connected to that — like he's fixated on being someone's "special one"... As the story progresses, the sense of unease keeps growing―― Oh... could it be...? You can check your answer in the free talk section...!! (*^^*) This wasn't just a fluffy, cute story — it had a surprisingly deep darkness to it, and in a good way, it defied my expectations...!! Once you know the truth and go back and listen again, you start wondering — what was he feeling in this moment? What did this line actually mean? I bought this specifically for Terashima-san's situation work. (I bought it with no prior information.) It's been a while since we've had a situation work from Terashima-san, hasn't it? I used to collect a lot of them back in the day. Thank you to whoever cast him for this! And I think this might actually be his first doujin situation-style work? On top of that, the free talk is 10 minutes and 6 seconds long — honestly, that's basically a bonus feature at this point. In the free talk, Terashima-san gave a detailed explanation of the work, which made it very easy to understand. Parts that were hard to grasp in the main story became clear thanks to his explanation. Also, I was reminded once again just how good Terashima-san is at switching between characters. I really want him to play more roles like this!
I assumed on my own that this was a soothing sleep-aid type audio work, so I listened to it while trying to sleep, but aside from sleeping breaths there wasn't really much of that element. Also, partway through, he seems to be recalling something from his past and speaks in a low voice at times, which made it feel more serious than I expected, so I stopped partway through and listened again while awake. In the end, Knight's past is never made clear within the main story (there are only lines suggesting "maybe..." and nothing more). (Thanks to the voice actor explaining the work during the free talk, some of my confusion was cleared up a bit.) The story reveals very little within the main content itself, so there's a lot that remains unclear, which might be good for people who enjoy speculating and analyzing, but it might not be a good fit for those who prefer a clear beginning-middle-end structure.
