But I didn't doze off as quickly as I expected, because he's, just as the title says, an arrogant "ore-sama" type, and right from the start, "Don't struggle!!" "Shut up…" he pins me down with that harsh mouth of his, treating me completely as a hug pillow…! Even as his steady, breathing lull me into drowsiness, he'll suddenly blow air on me with a "Fuu…!" and enjoy watching my reaction, showing his mischievous side, so I never knew when it would come next… In a good way, it kept me nervous and excited, and I had no time to fall asleep…! Lol And what really deserves special mention is when he transforms from human to wolf! While in human form his voice is a low "ore-sama" voice, but once he becomes a wolf, his voice gets a bit higher!?!? You can really feel the size that makes you want to hug him tight, along with an innocent, adorable cuteness…! Even if you're not the heroine, you'd want to bury your face in that fluffiness and squeeze him tight…♪ But if you let your guard down like that, he'll get mad, saying something like "Wait, I'm the one being used as a hug pillow here!!", suddenly switching back to his low voice and human form to retaliate, so be careful!! It was an unfair amount of heart-fluttering…!! He marks you with kisses, even leaving kiss marks… Revealing an obsessive attachment, insisting he'll never let you go…! But there's a deep reason behind this. He recovers his memories in fragments, speaking of them little by little. It seems he once had someone precious to him…? Since he refers to himself as "aniki" (big brother), is it a younger brother? A younger sister…? And his fear of the sound of water, a trauma…… It seems there's some heavy, heavy past related to water…? The obsession he shows toward the heroine might also be related to the trauma from that heavy past…? The scene where his voice suddenly trembles, and he pours out his feelings in an anxious, almost tearful voice, really tugged at my heart…! Kato-sama's overwhelming performance was wonderful!! After listening to the free talk and matching up the answers to the mysteries scattered throughout, listening to it again gave it a whole different flavor. It was such a wonderful, wonderful work…!!

This work made me realize once again just how much I love the cast's acting and voice. Before listening, I thought, "2 hours and 10 minutes!? I'll definitely fall asleep!!" But as the story slowly unfolds along with Ira's drowsy breathing, he'll blow air on your ear and chuckle, or lick and groom your ear while letting out a soft "Nn," and he even leaves marks on you sometimes, so you can't let your guard down (?). It was so easy to listen to and never got boring, so I ended up listening straight through to the end. The ear-licking and grooming and such are all-ages content, so it's all-ages. It's calm, gentle, and very soothing, and while there are some unsettling parts, I felt it was truly a work specialized in healing. I was surprised by the difference in his acting when he turns back into a wolf in Tr04. His playfulness and cuteness both increase, or something like that… It made me want to pet that adorable fluffiness. The line that hit me the most, with such warmth in the voice, was from Tr03: "If I didn't like you, I wouldn't let you into my bed." That won the (self-declared) grand prize. Even in such a casual line, you could feel the warmth that only comes from the cast's acting, and it shone through in this work too. It's amazing how much can be conveyed through voice alone—voice actors really are an incredible profession. I'm truly grateful for the technology that lets that skill be conveyed so fully. …And after writing all this, I listened to the cast talk. The main story alone was already packed full of content, so I almost forgot about it. The scenario doesn't spell everything out, but listening to the cast talk clears things up nicely. The wolf's somewhat lonely obsession is so adorable, and if I could fall asleep while listening to this, I feel like I'd have a happy dream. I'm going in for a second round and falling asleep now. Sometimes on social media, people say something like, "I want to listen to something to help me fall asleep, but ear cleaning or tapping sounds just aren't quite right for me." From now on, I want to recommend this work for those times. As the name "Goodnight ASMR" suggests, it's centered around sleeping breaths and lip sounds. It gives you the sense that there's someone sleeping peacefully in the same room, and you can drift right off to sleep. The story is built in a way that allows for many interpretations. A wolf beastman youth who came from somewhere, and me. In the end, you don't know where this world is, or how you ended up here. The reason the young man can't sleep seems related to his past, and there are moments of confusion, but you're never attacked or put in danger. But honestly, that was actually a good thing. Calming down the other person when they're confused, or being calmed down yourself. There was an atmosphere of supporting each other, relying on one another, and snuggling up together to sleep. Also, the overall mood felt incredibly nostalgic. It's like the feeling of a stuffed animal you cherished as a child, or a pet you can no longer see, coming to you in a dream as a beastman. Partway through, Ira turns back into wolf form. His acting there had a cuteness and instability that was neither fully adult nor fully childlike, and I was surprised he'd go in this direction. It had a feeling of "playing with a pet that became able to talk in a dream," and it was really wonderful. I never thought the day would come when I'd listen to Kato-san's voice—usually known for fatherly, embracing characters or handsome-ish villain roles—and think, "he's so fluffy and cute." When I woke up, I'd forgotten more than half of it, but I felt like I'd had a good dream. Recommended for those who want to be soothed and cherished, slowly and gently.
