Azur Lane ASMR: Healing Squad for the Commander – Le Malin's Elegant Day Off

Alright, first it's time to get ready. Whether you're a battle-hardened Commander or not yet a Commander at all, before you sprawl out spread-eagled on your futon... Try chanting the magic words "Lazy Dimanche" into your device. And look, a mysterious mochi-like softness should appear as the result. Ha ha, what's this funny-looking thing, you ask? Oh, what a strange thing to say. She's right there, on the package. The very picture of a beautiful girl. Don't cover your eyes, don't look away. This is your wicked blade. By the way, feel free to assume it's like this throughout the whole work. Lucky you!!! Have you managed to come to terms with reality? Well then, all that's left is to lie down in whatever position you like, right? Just leave it to our pure-white paladin to heal you without doing much of anything at all. Seriously, you really didn't do anything! When it comes purely to dragging you into sleep, I'd say this might be the strongest one yet in the series. With that tone and voice that sounds like it could put you to sleep on its own if left alone, she just keeps encouraging you to be lazy, over and over. Getting your back washed or getting a massage is of course lovely too, but for those of us who, when tired, basically just want to relax, these devilish whispers are simply too powerful. And when you've got something small and clearly warm and cozy snuggled up right next to you, well, that's basically an instant knockout. You get dragged into a mysterious game of hide-and-seek partway through, but please forgive it. The healing squad, you ask? Please don't ask me. Alone together in a cramped, enclosed space—normally the kind of situation that would set your heart racing—and yet I didn't feel even a millimeter of a flutter, and just peacefully passed out cold. That must be because this girl is Le Malin. It's a pretty rude thing to say, but please forgive it—because she's Le Malin. Because she's Le Malin, after all. There are all sorts of things I want to say, or rather things I feel obligated to point out, but in the end, my fatigue was gone anyway. So let me close out this review by borrowing, straight from the character herself, the words that seem to sum up both this work and her completely—words I simply can't beat. Now then, shall we become useless together?

It's laid-back right from the very start lol It's nostalgic now, but when she first debuted, I remember thinking from her thumbnail that she'd be some dignified princess-knight type lol But in reality, all the costumes added for her since then have looked kind of melted/loosened up. Ah, I see, so that's the kind of girl she is lol Going by the track order, the "title call" went "lazy version" then "elegant version," so the temperature gap almost gave me a cold lol Still, even though she whispers right in your ear so intensely, almost everything she says is something "no good," which is so very Le Malin-chan of her lol It's healing, but more than that, I feel like it had this warm, heartwarming feel to it. That said, this is something true across the whole series—no matter what, everyone in it is kind and really does heal you properly, so I'm looking forward to the next installment.

Let me say upfront that I don't actually know much about Le Malin from the game, since I skipped the Iris (Vishya) related events... I'm adding this after having already written the rest, but honestly this is less a review and more of a report. ◎ Title Call & Track 1 Right from the title call, we get both the "hidden" side and the "public" side of Le Malin, which I really appreciate. Already in Track 1 you can hear both her pathetic voice and her taunting voice, so it's basically the complete Le Malin starter kit...... ◎ Track 2 So close, so close, so close!!!! I thought it was just sleeping side by side, but she was on top of the Commander!?!? She's even brainwashing you into corruption—what is this woman... I'm not responsible if I end up falling for her...... ◎ Track 3 Le Malin getting cheered up by a snack is so cute... The way she properly makes tea is so elegant... ◎ Track 4 There's a count, and clearly described close physical contact inside a closet, so there are quite a few moments that make you mistake it for "isn't this actually a lewd ASMR?" Her frightened, about-to-cry look is way too much like a small animal...... ◎ Track 5 This is just too much, no explanation needed. This is straight-up brainwashing. Overall, my strongest impression is that I could feel real "heat" in the close-contact whispering. If anything, this might be the entry in the Azur Lane ASMR series that puts the most effort into whispering...... It makes full use of Le Malin's character, and properly hints at her connections to the other Vishya and Iris-related girls too. On top of that, I was impressed that it could provide this much healing without any of the typical ASMR staples like ear cleaning. As a work, I think it's put together with a pretty high level of completeness. Needless to say, after this I went and gave Le Malin a ring.
