The Fluffy Fox Deity: Shigure's Rainy Day [Binaural]

A moist, calm tone of voice. Soft Kyoto dialect. Line after line overflowing with emotion. The sense of distance in the voice can be created with equipment, but I think this atmosphere is entirely down to the performer's skill. This work is flawless in every respect, but there is exactly one thing I absolutely must criticize: the fact that this is a standalone work. I sincerely hope it becomes a series.

Stop looking at this and just buy it already!!!! It's 0 yen!!!! There's absolutely no way you'll lose out!!!!! ...it's the kind of quality that makes me want to shout that. First off, the voice actress is Chika Anzai. Lately more doujin voice works have been casting professional voice actors, but of course, this is official from DLsite. They're giving us professional acting for free. That alone would be amazing, but what's even more amazing is the "closeness" of the voice. A lot of professional voice actresses aren't very used to binaural mics, and it often seems like they struggle to adjust their distance from the mic, but Anzai-san is soooooo close. Her breath hits you like crazy. You get to have a professional voice actress whisper to you from what could basically be called zero distance. For free. FOR FREE??? Well, most people have probably already downloaded and listened to this by now, so I doubt anyone is still reading this far... but just in case. Hurry up and download it and listen. It's free.

I thought the same about the previous work, but this isn't something that should be given away for free. The antitrust law inside me is calling this guilty. Truly a sin. Shigure has a calm voice, an elegant older-sister type who speaks with that soft "hannari" charm. She has a bit of an easily-swayed side when tempted with sweets, but she also shows her face as a sister who cares for Isuzu, and in the scene where she gets back at the protagonist, her gentle lines carry just the right hint of sadistic edge. On top of that, the voice actress's performance is wonderful — her whispers make you feel as if the character is really right beside you, and during the petting scenes, you can vividly picture her trying to hold back her ticklish reactions. She really shows off that kind of masterful breathing. With a well-crafted script and a top-tier performer, there's no way it wouldn't hit you right in the heart. While I'm deeply grateful to DLsite for releasing this for free, I want to shout it out loud: please let me pay for this, and please make a sequel. I'd love to see them go shopping in town together, or have episodes set in other seasons like spring or winter. I want to hear a hopeless yet adorable Isuzu getting teased and outmatched by Shigure. Anyway, please just give me your bank account number already.
