There's only one thing I feel while listening to this work. I'm actually there in the work as "Boku-kun"! That's how real it is. The sound builds the space in a way that can't be described just with words like "ambient sound" or "ASMR." The three sisters each act independently, at different distances, making sounds of their own. The timing in the sisters' conversations feels genuinely real too! It's not like the scripted back-and-forth of a drama CD — they're just chattering away naturally. Distance × conversation × ASMR — this is basically reality now! It's incredible! The three sisters each have great, distinct personalities too, and they're all so cute! My favorite has to be Mako, played by Waneru Runase. She moves around so freely that I couldn't stop being surprised! Somehow it felt like I was getting a glimpse of the real Waneru Runase herself lol This was a great work that goes even a step beyond ASMR. I really hope they make a sequel!
I had already bought the sequel [Let's Go to the Countryside! -Memories of the Three Sisters and Winter-] first, and it was so wonderful that I decided to buy this one too. This is actually the first work in the series, so listening to this one first helps you understand the setup and the background of the situations. It feels just like listening to natural, everyday conversation, with the protagonist blending naturally into the conversation among the heroines. On top of that, it's packed with situations unique to summer, offering a different kind of enjoyment from the winter one. Both the summer memories and the winter memories are equally hard to choose between. Some people might just scroll past this because the cover image doesn't show the characters, but it would be such a waste for this to stay buried. Of course I recommend it! No — I don't just recommend it, I *highly* recommend it.
The ambient sound design is incredibly realistic. Of all the voice works I've listened to, this is the best one. It's a work themed around everyday life with three sisters in the countryside, and: - the ambient sound really brings out the rural setting even more, - the character designs are clear and distinct, not generic at all, - the natural conversations and moments of silence fit the everyday-life setting, - the volume and positioning are adjusted so you can tell what each of the three sisters is doing, and so on — there's no end to what I could point out. It's all crafted with such careful, meticulous detail. Given this quality, the price is incredibly cheap, so if you like voice works, this is one you won't regret buying.
