Chuu-Sotsu! 1st Graduation ~Chuu-Sotsu's Time After Time~

The early part has a bright, comedy-leaning atmosphere, but be warned that from the middle onward the story suddenly gets heavy. I feel like your evaluation of this will change a lot depending on whether you can empathize with the protagonist. It'll probably hit hard for people who think of themselves as worthless human beings.

This is an adventure game made for all ages. There are a lot of characters appearing, and even the side characters have a lot of charm. The text is also very easy to read, and despite the volume, I ended up losing track of time and playing for hours. I'm surprised at how high the quality is for such a low price point. The art is also very beautiful, and I think this is a recommended piece.

This is my first work from Studio Beast. Philosophy is one of the themes, but there isn't much difficult metaphysical talk, so people who aren't good with that kind of thing can relax. It's priced in the 1000-yen range, but it has as much volume as a mid-priced commercial eroge, and the story density is quite rich and good. The first half is a chaotic gag comedy along with world-building explanation. It feels kind of like Huxley's "Brave New World." The second half becomes a serious part focused on the protagonist... but if you have a history of being a NEET, taking a leave of absence from school, being unemployed, etc., or are currently in that kind of situation, I think it'll be pretty rough on you mentally. I also found it painful because I overlapped too much with Arue, but because of that I was able to philosophize anew about "a wonderful life." I'd highly recommend this to people who like the works of Tatsuhiko Takimoto or Yousuke Karabe (Setoguchi). If you play it expecting yuri or gags, you'll be in for a rude awakening. After clearing it, I looked at the circle's website and saw they're considering expanding it into a series. The worldbuilding, with things like the World People's Federation and QOLIC, feels like too much to waste on just one work, so I'd be very happy if a new title comes out. Also, the writer turned out to be the person behind "Sakura, Saita Node," which explains the skillful writing of the scenario.
