Except for the fact that there's no humanity left. Out of nowhere, I've decided that today, I'm going on a date with you. I'll carry your phone and walk through the ruins of Shibuya. Recording the sounds of my body moving, the chirping of insects, the sound of brewing coffee. But today, I'll walk as if you were here with me. So stay with me until the end. Let's go on a date together, in Shibuya after the end of the world. This work is an ASMR piece in which you walk through the Shibuya shelter, now empty of people. The city that was once full of people coming and going has collapsed, overgrown with grass, littered with rubble and broken glass. Through it all, Lena walks while her voice recorder keeps running. The person she's speaking to is a "you" who no longer exists in this world. Someone precious, who once spent the same time with her, walked the same places, and listened to the same music. Lena treats your phone as if it were "you," talking to it as though you were really there. There's no reply. Even so, she keeps moving through the collapsed streets of Shibuya, as if having a conversation, as if confirming old memories. Footsteps, mechanical sounds, the chirping of insects, the sound of stepping over rubble, the sound of brewing coffee. Traces of her memories remain in the scramble crossing, the school, the music store, Miyashita Park, and the live house that the present-day Lena now walks through.
