There was a childhood friend who drove my fetishes to the brink of destruction in just 4 sleep-cuddling sessions. Her name is Kitami Azusa (CV: Tsuchiya Rio). Having barely survived the sleep-cuddling, I feared her power and decided to write a review. Few people today know what a true sleep-cuddling friend really is. ・・・・・・ ・・・・ ・・ Hi, I'm an otaku for Tsuchiya Rio. Since I'm serious about Tsuchiya-san, I can write a proper, serious review. Leave it to me. So first off, the greatest charm of this work is, quite simply, how erotic the sense of distance is...!! Of course, since this is an all-ages ASMR, there are only wholesome scenes, but as you listen, these super-sweet close-contact lines come at you one after another like a relentless Dempsey Roll, making you want to shout "Ahh, no no, this is too erotic." A childhood friend girl you've always treated like one of the guys. As you press your bodies together again and again as sleep-cuddling friends, the relationship gradually changes. You otaku boys like this kind of thing, don't you? Me too! Me too, everyone! And among the four sleep-cuddling situations depicted this time—"sofa, park, lap pillow, bed"—my personal favorite was particularly the "lap pillow." The reason is that Kitami-chan became a mom-like childhood friend. If you're thinking "what is this guy even saying," please listen to the main story yourself to find out. Lastly, even though this is an ASMR work, the scenario is crafted so you can feel Tsuchiya-san's acting ability even more deeply, so if you're a fan who loves her voice and performance, you absolutely won't regret buying this...!! Won't you become a sleep-cuddling friend too?
This work stars Tsuchiya Rio, well known for her calm, low-pitched voice that's so pleasant to listen to, playing the heroine. Tsuchiya Rio has been cast in over 17 works on DLsite, and while some of them may seem to have similar concepts at a glance, that just shows how much her low, healing voice is loved by everyone. Precisely because she appears in so many works, one of the great things about a voice actress with a large body of work is that you can find the audio work that's just right for you. As for the highlights of this work, I'd say it's the scenario that makes you feel the frustratingly sweet, almost-but-not-quite-girlfriend relationship with Azusa. Azusa practically lives at the protagonist's (the listener's) house, and she says that if you ever get a girlfriend, she'll return her spare key. But if you really did get a girlfriend, Azusa would be shaken—while she'd support you and your girlfriend on the surface, inside she'd be absolutely devastated. I happen to know this type of heroine extremely well.
Azusa, the childhood friend played by Tsuchiya Rio, has known the protagonist since kindergarten, and even now has been given a spare key to the protagonist's apartment, where he lives alone. To this day, the two of them are close, with a distance that feels like family or best friends. As a solution for the sleep-deprived protagonist, she suggests sleep-cuddling, and they end up spending time as sleep-cuddling friends. Rather than jumping straight into ordinary sleep-cuddling, they lean shoulders together, horse around in the park, get lap pillows, and build up to sleep-cuddling in bed. Every track has situations where they're physically close, and I got to savor the thrill and sense of security of being within touching distance. Not just physical distance, but also the emotional closeness unique to childhood friends, and Azusa's kindness as she stays close to try to heal the sleep-deprived protagonist—I could feel all of that up close, and it was very soothing. Also, Azusa, who normally doesn't seem very conscious of gender differences, intentionally approaching to sleep-cuddle like this and reacting shyly was incredibly cute, and I got to fully feel Azusa's charm not just as a childhood friend, but as a girl. In Track 5, they talk about the reason behind the protagonist's sleep deprivation, and this exchange was so cute that I really hope you experience that cuteness with your own ears.
A cool, close-distance childhood friend becomes a sleep-cuddling friend to help resolve sleep deprivation... I listened wondering what exactly a "sleep-cuddling friend" even was, but true to its name, the sleep-cuddling scenes had her snuggling right next to me and talking to me, and it was heart-pounding. The heroine Azusa-chan says things like "We're old childhood friends, there's no way I'd get nervous, lol," but during the first sleep-cuddling, her body warms up and gets hot, and during the lap pillow scene, she worries about what he thinks of it—treating him like a friend while also showing a girlish side, which was adorable. Also, her breathing performance was great. Sleep-cuddling shoulder to shoulder on the sofa, horsing around and sleep-cuddling in a nature park, lap pillow ear cleaning, sleeping together in the same bed—there are so many different sleep-cuddling scenes that you're sure to find one you love...!
I'll share my thoughts without spoilers. Sleep-cuddling is the theme of this work, and as expected, the sleeping-breath scenes in each part were wonderfully long. I was already thinking "is she a genius?" from being able to savor Tsuchiya-san's sleeping breath within the main work, but then the early purchase bonus includes a solo sleeping-breath track that's a full 30 minutes long! That's beyond genius—that's divine. Also, the sound effects and ambient sounds mentioned in the product description were great. In a good way, I didn't feel any sense of unnaturalness at all, which I think is an amazing feat. Even in the room scenes, Azusa's position keeps shifting around, so the real pleasure of ASMR is packed in to the max. I definitely recommend listening with earphones! Tsuchiya-san's ASMR works usually feature characters with a low vocal tone, like cool or downer types, but this time Azusa had a very natural tone, which was a fairly rare type of character for her. A childhood friend who's friendly and clingy and gets close to you, voiced by Tsuchiya-san—that's way too powerful an attack! It was a direct hit on me! Thank you for such a wonderful work! I'll be listening to it a lot!
I listened right away after release. To put it simply, it was incredibly healing, with plenty of heart-pounding moments, and the voice acting was the best. And the script was so sweet and full of youthfulness! As for the ASMR parts—whispers by the ear, ear cleaning, sudden teasing ear-blowing—any of them would have been fine, but personally I love the shasha-gari-gari sound of the ear cleaning. Combined with Tsuchiya-san's performance, it calmed my heart and was very healing. Thanks to it, I had a good dream. And the script, or rather the story!! It deserves major attention. The two childhood friends clearly state they're not conscious of each other that way, but from the very start, it's ambiguous. A girl who practically lives in his room, lazing around together, becoming his sleep-cuddling friend, occasionally teasing him—it's such a youthful story. As the story progresses, Azusa's feelings get revealed more and more, and while listening I wanted to shout at the protagonist, "Notice already!!" And so we reach Track 5 of the main story, where the two of them decide to sleep together in a cramped bed—this part had my heart pounding so much. Their flirty time together, like something out of a shoujo manga, had my heart racing nonstop!! After the protagonist dozes off, Azusa's whisper made me scream "Gyaa!" inside my heart, and I drifted off to sleep alongside Azusa's sleeping breath. After that, I had a wonderful dream. When I woke up in the morning, I listened to Track 6 of the main story and got a huge boost of energy. But I got a bit restless worrying about how this romance would turn out. Please, I'm begging for a sequel. Personally, my favorite part is from 21:55 in Track 5 of the main story. I thought my heart would explode. Thank you so much for such a wonderful work.
Ever since I bought this work, I've been sleeping soundly almost every day. Tsuchiya Rio-san's voice is neither too low nor too high, speaking at just the perfect pitch, so I think my brain naturally settles into a resting state. The story was interesting too. In particular, the tickling scene in Track 5 had me really worked up while listening. I think this will be a work I'll keep listening to a lot from now on.
Kitami Azusa, played by Tsuchiya Rio, does all sorts of things for the sleep-deprived protagonist. The closeness of the distance with Azusa, a childhood friend, is amazing and makes your heart race. Leaning shoulders together while sleeping, horsing around, getting a lap pillow...... The scene where she sleep-cuddles with him in bed is a must-listen!! Personally, I love Azusa in the horsing-around scene—she's so cute! This was a work healed by Tsuchiya Rio-san's acting ability and voice!
The character in this work is a straightforwardly sweet childhood friend type, and combined with Tsuchiya-san's voice, it had quite a lot of immersion. The flow of the conversation also explains the situation and outfits, so it's easy to imagine. What I personally liked especially was the ear-cleaning track, with its overflowing baby-talk-sweet lines and situation, and the ear-cleaning sounds that had a nice resonance deep in the ear. I also really liked the tickling in the track that followed.
She's the boyish childhood friend who's always hanging out in the protagonist's room, and the two of them have kept up that guy-girl friendship all this time. Seemingly worried about the protagonist's (the room's owner) poor condition, she proposes they start being "sleep-together friends." ・What even is a "sleep-together friend"? That's a very fair question. Going with the flow of the conversation, this new kind of relationship actually begins. Just feel it for yourself. ・The bond of being childhood friends is strong. They don't really see each other in a romantic way, and what happens in the room is still just between childhood friends. That's surely how it'll stay going forward, probably. ・Both with and without SE versions are included. With SE on, you can enjoy the immersive feel of ambient sounds like birds chirping, while turning it off lets you focus purely on the heroine's lines and breathing. Even in the scene where the heroine starts getting sleepy, I liked how the pauses before and after her sleeping breaths felt natural. I'm curious to see where their relationship goes now that they've taken a step forward.
