An audio work of a little over 2 hours. The heroine of this work is Reina from Rail Load. The voice actress is, of course, Mai Kadowaki. Throughout the entire work, Mai Kadowaki's voice and acting were wonderful. A clear, transparent voice that also has a cute charm to it. Especially the way she ends her sentences - it was very distinctive and felt great. Having a theme talk at the end was also a nice touch. I've listened to quite a lot of Raro's audio works, and this is one of my favorites among them. When posting reviews on DLsite, I don't just hand out 5-star ratings or recommendations to everything. But even so, after comparing this work to others and listening carefully, I felt this one truly deserved a 5-star rating and a recommendation.
From the "Rail Romanesque" series, "Reina" played by Mai Kadowaki appears. Kadowaki's natural voice already has quite a cute impression, but this time as the Rail Doll "Reina," the role is quite young and loli-ish, with a slightly tongue-tied way of speaking, yet it's spoken in a very clever, calm manner that oddly feels pleasant to the ear. This time the setting is Hitoyoshi City in Kumamoto Prefecture, and it's interesting how they make heavy use of calming sound effects like mochi-pounding and coffee bean roasting, evoking the laid-back countryside air away from the hustle and bustle of the city. In particular, "Reina" has a strong character of being a very good, earnest girl who works hard at her job, so the simple, rustic ambient sounds matching with her cute voice lets you listen in a relaxed mood. The first half depicts the atmosphere of Hitoyoshi City, while the latter half is the standard hot springs and ear cleaning, making it a wonderful simulated experience of spending a day working around Hitoyoshi City and then having a relaxed relaxation time with "Reina" at the inn in the evening. It's really healing.
Since this work has so many characters, Reina-chan's appearance feels like it's finally her turn after a long wait. Mai Kadowaki's voice and acting as Reina-chan were adorable from start to finish. Reina-chan's unique, laid-back atmosphere was so comforting that it had an incredibly strong healing effect - I was listening before bed, but I got so sleepy that I could hardly ever make it to the end, which was a happy complaint to have.
