This is a story about a guy who couldn't get tickets to his favorite band's show, and just as he's about to reluctantly buy one from a scalper, his strong-willed childhood friend stops him. It's less of a "please don't" and more of an all-out verbal beatdown. I'm not sludge, you know… She must have a serious grudge against scalpers piled up somewhere, because she scolds him with incredible force. Pretty intense. She's a heroine of verbal violence. It's practically a machine gun of insults—I'm honestly impressed she could come up with so many words one after another. Might be quite the treat for those with a masochistic streak? She's a girl who might not be for everyone, but given how unusual the situation is, this is a voice work I'd recommend giving a listen to at least once.

The protagonist (the listener) couldn't get tickets to his favorite artist's live show. Feeling dejected, in a pitch-dark room as if hiding away in the night, he's just about to buy a ticket from a high-priced scalper—that's the moment the story begins. The pitch-black room felt like it truly reflected the protagonist's state of mind... and at the same time, I felt it depicted that "about to fall to the dark side while doing something you know you shouldn't" feeling. Right at that moment, his childhood friend shows up and, while occasionally hurling insults at him, stops him from buying the ticket from the scalper. I don't know if she counts as a "light attribute" character or not. If it really comes down to treating her to sushi, and it's conveyor belt sushi, I feel like passing on my mother's secret technique: fill up on udon or something first, then go for the cheaper plates. Oh, and supermarket sushi is delicious too, by the way. This summer, I found myself in a situation where I wasn't sure if I'd get tickets to my favorite band's live show. I managed to get them and go, but it made me think "this could have turned into that kind of situation," so I gave this a re-listen. As for my impressions—I ended up wondering what on earth happened to make the childhood friend so full of hatred toward scalpers, and got distracted thinking about the whole "treating her to sushi" situation, but honestly, when it comes to high-priced scalping, I did find myself thinking "yeah, that's fair..." Though I do think flea market apps are a bit too much, honestly... If you want to know the depths of the childhood friend's hatred for scalpers, definitely give this a listen (?)

The work had great pacing, and there was a comfortable feeling that made me want to keep listening the whole way through! The childhood friend girl who comforts the dejected protagonist, teases him a little, then praises him, was so cute!! The characters were really great—it was cute how she's a card gamer, and how she's shrewd enough to look out for herself right up to the end! The lines were also really funny, especially the bit about "surface area," which hit my funny bone hard and made me laugh out loud. The voice actress Hino Komahara's voice was easy to listen to, cute, and just perfect!! It was also nice that the script was included!
