Now, this work is, in a certain sense, recommended for "those who have come full circle." Well, to be blunt, real camping has a lot of bugs, you can nearly die doing it in winter, in summer the dew soaks everything in the morning, you get smoked out by the campfire, and setting up/tearing down alone is tough— that's the negative opinion of someone who used to go camping nearly 24 times a year, but with this audio work, you don't need to worry about any of that. Even though setting up is a hassle, you still end up wanting to build a campfire, you know. Even if you hate bugs, you still want to sit in a folding chair next to the tent, and you want to grill meat over charcoal. If you want to listen to something a bit different, or if you've exhausted other audio works, anyone who's interested should give the trial listen a try first.
This is Tegura Yuuki's first all-ages audio work! I've always thought "I'd love to hear something by Tegura Yuuki without the erotic content," so I'm truly happy about this! As with their other works, the sound effects are recorded astonishingly clearly. The way sounds like the crackling of the campfire or the grinding of coffee beans come through is outstanding. Thanks to the crisp sound quality, the sense of presence is greatly enhanced, and you can listen to it in a relaxed, natural way. Also, the casual dialogue feels very natural and is really wonderful. The offhand exchanges and the timing of the disinterested responses feel so realistic that it's easy to get immersed. As always, the acting has a natural feel that gives the work a strong sense of reality, and I'm very satisfied. I'm looking forward to more all-ages works in the future!
I was quite surprised when I saw the trailer, but this is this circle's first all-ages work. It's a love story listened to against the background sound of a campfire. There are two girls who appear, but one of them is positioned as a close friend, so it's not some kind of love triangle, and the content doesn't get tense or awkward. Since it's set at a camp, besides the sound of the campfire, various other sounds are blended in, and with the erotic elements removed, it has a stronger youthful, coming-of-age flavor. What I loved most about this work was the natural acting! The dialogue for each small action doesn't feel theatrical at all, and combined with the ambient sounds, I really enjoyed feeling like I was right there. Tegura Yuuki's recent works have tended to place a lot of importance on the characters' emotions, and I like that aspect, so I'd love for people who enjoy that but aren't so into the erotic parts to give this a listen.
