There's no doubt about the quality of Otonadeya, but what makes this work especially outstanding is that it's a short-story collection. After 17 acts that seem to say "I know everything about you," it's hard not to end up believing that you yourself are the boyfriend spending such blissful moments. I wish I could listen to audio like this… That kind of situation sounds so nice… Buds born in the height of my daily fantasies, destined to eventually wither. Each and every one of the 17 has a solid, distinct personality, making you think "ah, this person is like this~" or "oh, so this is another way to enjoy it too"—all 17 are a perfect match, making this a wonderful, hugely enjoyable work. Even first-timers are sure to find at least one favorite. By the way… isn't this guy two-timing? Make that seventeen-timing? Is that okay??
I purchased this because Yamada Jemiko participates in Track 5, "Lovey-Dovey Close Girlfriend." "Lovey-Dovey Close Girlfriend," read in Yamada Jemiko's distinctively sweet, slightly low voice, conveys such a strong sense of emotional closeness that listening to it makes my chest go all warm and fuzzy—it's incredibly soothing. Along with the equally pleasant sound of ear cleaning, her gentle, unhurried way of speaking puts me completely at ease from the bottom of my heart, and her whispers feel so natural you can almost sense her breath right at your ear. The lines and the way she performs them are overflowing with that close, intimate feeling, and being able to fully savor her words of comfort, her indulgence, and being doted on is the height of happiness—it leaves me feeling calm and gives an exquisite sense of healing that settles the heart. Also, her sighs and breaths have a pleasant, healing quality to the ear, and her ear-blowing and yawns gave me the ultimate sense of healing and happiness. In particular, the ear-blowing right after her "I'm home" at the very start was wonderful—from that supremely pleasant, lovely whisper into the supremely pleasant ear-blowing, it was so overwhelmingly happy-making that it made me jolt with surprise, and the exquisite healing and peace that followed were the best. Also, since it's titled "Lovey-Dovey Close Girlfriend," the age relationship wasn't explicitly stated, but rather than a one-sided dynamic where one side is simply older or younger and only doting or only being doted on, there's a sense that both sides dote on and are doted on by each other—an atmosphere that truly felt like "lovey-dovey and close," which was wonderful.
