Today Too, I'll Stick to You All Day, Onii-san! [Clingy Care, Ear Cleaning, Tooth Brushing, Co-sleeping]

Azusa, who for a certain reason becomes clingy about everything, was so adorable. Everyone would probably think they're a lovey-dovey couple. Cut it out already! I sometimes get anxious imagining the moment my family suddenly disappears without warning, so I can kind of understand how Azusa feels. Even though the day will eventually come when she outgrows her brother complex, this is a work that made me want to treasure this happy moment while it lasts.

I had it on endless repeat on the highway bus back to my hometown for New Year's. The refrains like pat-pat, mix-mix, scratch-scratch, tickle-tickle won't leave my head. I got to feel like Azusa was right beside me the whole time, and it was absolutely amazing. That "Yay!" the moment she gets the OK for ear cleaning made me go "ahh~." It's cuteness that should honestly be illegal. The feeling of hearing "Big brother, it's morning, wake up" from the right ear is something I want every little-sister-loving man in the world to experience at least once. It makes the day start off a little more fun. The production is also excellent, with a sense of distance that makes you feel her breath is really touching you, and plenty of grin-inducing services like massaging both ears. The silence and sleeping breaths during the sleeping-together scene also felt necessary given this work's focus on everyday realism. Overall, it gives the impression of being made with real sincerity. I'm new to ASMR and come from a background of light novels and novel games, but from that perspective, I strongly felt the care put into "drawing a story through voice." As expected of Akito Mizusawa-sensei (I've been reading their work since the MW Bunko days). Even though the protagonist doesn't speak, I really appreciate how the exchanges with Azusa work naturally through her dialogue alone. The reason Azusa wasn't put in the literature club, and other things that are probably deliberately left unexplained, stimulated my imagination and deepened my immersion in the world of the story. Also, the way Track 1's reason for Azusa being so clingy is revealed in Track 5, and the flow returns to everyday life again, is beautifully done and leaves a nice lingering feeling. Anyway, all that aside, Azusa is just really good. Toward the end, her plucky determination to accept various situations while still relying on her brother sticks with you, especially combined with the emotional expression in her voice. The combination of Odawara Hakone-sensei's art and Konomi Kohara's voice is a perfect lineup for me, and I think that plucky quality in particular really struck a chord with me. The line "Even as many things change, the fact that I'm your little sister will never, ever change" is the highlight of this work, conveying both childishness and growth. I'd recommend this to many people as a comforting story experience.

I love Konomi Kohara and have bought almost every ASMR work she's appeared in, but this one has a vocal tone that's top-class among them for my personal taste, and listening to it was so soothing and healing. In particular, the ear cleaning in Track 2 is perfect for falling asleep to, so I'm adding it to my nightly sleep playlist. The ear cleaning, tooth brushing, and sleeping together create a sense of closeness that feels less like a little sister and more like a girlfriend. If you like Konomi Kohara or little sister characters, you won't regret buying this.
