Sorry, But I'm Being Supported by My Cosplayer Girlfriend Ricomaru

In situations where the protagonist is being financially supported, I get the impression it's often the case that the heroine has a relatively stable job, or even if not stable, is raking in cash at some stereotypical foreign-affiliated company. However, the heroine of this work, Riko, works in the unstable business of being a cosplayer. She's said to have 100,000 followers, so she's undoubtedly popular, but judging from what's said in the story, there's no sense that she's earning enough to live a glamorous lifestyle. Well, since she's able to support an unemployed man, she probably earns more than others her age, but despite that, there's no sense of her being irritable about it — her compassion toward the protagonist is really wonderful... If I were in Riko's position, I think I'd at least want him to get some kind of part-time job... This is something Konomi Ohara, who voices Riko, also mentioned in her free talk — I think a normal person would end up dating a deadbeat guy over this, and I'm envious that there's no other girlfriend like Riko out there. Personally, my favorite scene is in Track 9, where she cosplays as a character the protagonist likes while nursing him. I'm sure there are people out there who are dating or living with a cosplayer. I feel like even if those people bring cosplay into things for racy purposes, they probably wouldn't go so far as to use cosplay while nursing someone who's sick. Though it depends on how sick you are — if you're truly wiped out, you probably couldn't even bring up the topic of cosplay. I do like the situation of being nursed through a cold. There's something nice about the feeling of being cared for by someone. Well, personally, there's no one who would worry about me even if I got sick, so I'd have no choice but to go buy what I need myself while wheezing away. I can't help but think, 'once I become an elderly person living alone, I probably won't even be able to do that anymore,' but from now on, whenever I feel unwell, I think I'll listen to Track 9 to cheer myself up.

The protagonist is a hopeless, deadbeat adult man — he quit his job, can't even manage housework properly, and yet his girlfriend never gives up on him despite all that. It's set up that he quit due to 'interpersonal issues,' but when you think about why those relationships went bad, the cause is surely... So maybe, for people with 'issues' like me, this work is poison. For those who are already wounded, it'll probably be something that squeezes your chest tight. But this work also has the power to heal wounds like that. Centered around the sleep-together tracks, the girlfriend comforts, encourages, and stays close to the protagonist. The joy of 'having someone say the words you wanted to hear' hits doubly hard. And the sadness of 'this is ultimately just fiction' hits doubly hard too. I feel glad I listened to it, but I also feel like maybe I shouldn't have. For anyone other than the unemployed, it'll probably just come across as a normal work that's sweet, kind, and just a little bit immoral — so I'd recommend it to most people. The only downside is that the voice actress's free talk is included in the same file. Rounding up from 4.5 stars to 5.0 stars... I guess.

There are classic situations like the bath scene and ear-cleaning & massage, but there are also tracks unique to the popular cosplayer 'Rikomaru-san,' making it a very satisfying listen. 2. Stare intently at the thumbnail art and bonus art! Once you've finished listening, take a good look at the thumbnail art and bonus art. The fact that such a cute, famous cosplayer loves and takes care of you — once you realize this, you'll probably shed tears of joy. 3. Listen again while picturing 'Rikomaru-san's' face! Finally, carve Rikomaru-san's voice and face into your brain, and listen once more! When you listen to that same situation you heard once before again... lo and behold! You'll find yourself even more in 'Rikomaru LOVE' than the first time, and it's guaranteed to heal you even more as you listen! It's a work you can enjoy again and again, just like Nagoya's famous hitsumabushi. (Callback to the review title!) 4. And there's still more — the sleep-inducing audio! The parts where you flirt with Rikomaru-san are great, but this sleep-inducing audio is also excellent. Listening to it while in your futon at home lets you relax and fall asleep right away.
