Witches' Hermitage: The Ethnic Witch's Oriental Satisfaction — Herbal Slime & Tuning Fork Ear Cleaning

The voice was beautiful and clear, striking a perfect balance between a mysterious atmosphere and the warmth of a gentle older sister figure, and having her whisper right by my ear the whole time was unbearably soothing… Wrapping the ears in slime and massaging them, or putting slime-like gel into the ear canal — these were sensations I'd never experienced before, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but at first it made me restless, and then gradually I found myself getting hooked on the feeling. It's like experiencing the refreshing feeling of water draining out of your ear, but without the unpleasantness of water getting into your ear in the first place. The way Sea-han calmly narrated what she was doing throughout the video gave a real sense of reassurance, which was wonderful. Also, her breathing while she worked was fantastic… When I heard about putting a candle in the ear, I was surprised too, but just like with the slime, it was a fun, impossible-in-real-life experience, and the vibration that reached my ear was surprisingly pleasant. Personally, I found the singing bowl lullaby section the most healing. Being sung to sleep slowly in that gentle voice made me feel like I'd returned to childhood, and I felt so deeply at ease. The little sleeping breaths near my ear were ticklish but adorable, and just wonderful.

This is a lovely work with a slightly fantastical setting, where you're soothed by a laid-back, gentle-voiced older sister figure. I knew the voice actress who played Sea-han, Rie Suegara, so I gave the sample a listen — and beyond just her voice, I ended up buying it because I liked the somewhat unusual ASMR triggers. Slime, candles, singing bowls — all triggers I personally enjoy — were used, so I had a really fun time listening. The voice actress's voice is smooth and gentle, never harsh on the ears even when listening while falling asleep, which is another great point — you can drift off while listening.

This work features a witch with a classical, intelligent air, healing you through Asian-inspired treatments. The healing menu includes unusual South Asian treatments, Chinese tea, and more — living up to its "oriental" billing. But the real star, without a doubt, is the witch's wonderful performance! Her tone of speech is a bit formal, but through the tone of her lines, emotions like elegance and playfulness are richly expressed, and she embodies both a witch-like otherworldliness and the warmth of a healer at the same time. Her breathing occasionally has a thrilling sensuality to it, but it stays just at the level of an accent to the healing experience and never disrupts the relaxation. The voice actress's performance and the atmosphere of the work match each other beautifully, creating a unique mood without ever undermining the immersive feeling of the ASMR. The balance between voice, ambient sound, and treatment sounds is just right, and everything melts pleasantly into a brain that's starting to feel drowsy. This is my go-to for falling asleep for a while now. I bought it at a sale price, but I wouldn't have regretted it even at full price!
