Even just the Shizuku-ojousama drawn by Hizuki Yayoi sensei is overwhelmingly KAWAII on its own, but when you add Obara Yoshimi's wonderful voice on top of that, it becomes unstoppable. As for the relationship between the listener, the butler, and Lady Shizuku, you can really understand it well if you read volume 1 of the manga—the way Lady Shizuku, who's normally shy around strangers, fully trusts and has feelings for the butler is just so good. Beautiful. A hot spring trip taken together by these two... ah... it's so heartwarming... since it's an audio work themed around hot springs, it felt like it warmed even my own heart... This is an audio work from Hizuki Yayoi sensei's Introverted Young Lady series, and since it's the long-awaited second installment, I was really looking forward to it! Following on from the previous work, I felt so healed by the exchanges between Lady Shizuku and the butler. The way she couldn't quite hide her excitement about hopping between hot springs, and how happy she looked on their date in the hot spring town, were both so adorable, and it made me really feel once again how good the relationship between these two is. The butler's competence in calmly opening the folding umbrella he'd prepared, without panicking even at the sudden rain, felt just as reliable as you'd expect, and Lady Shizuku sharing the umbrella with him, looking a little embarrassed, was so cute. Also, since the folding umbrella wasn't quite big enough, the part where the butler's shoulder gets wet because he's looking out for Lady Shizuku was lovely too, since it really conveyed the butler's kindness and how much he cares about her. The part where Lady Shizuku gently nurses the butler after he catches a cold from getting rained on was so soothing, and in the scene where she counts sheep to help him fall asleep, there's a little slip-up that's so very Lady-Shizuku-like, and it was really adorable! Following the second installment, I'd be so happy if a third one gets released too! It was a truly wonderful work.
