Ear Healing Café: Futaba's Sweet Sleep Ear Massage & Whisper Edition

I've already listened to the Wakaba-chan version, the other half of the twins in Ear-Healing Café, so I'll be reviewing this one while comparing them. On the jacket, Wakaba-chan had a green outfit and eyes, giving off a cute and gentle impression, while Futaba-chan has a mink-colored outfit and eyes, with hair that's slightly pink, giving off a cute and bright impression. The content of the audio matched the impression I got from the jacket. The content of the Futaba version is almost the same as the Wakaba version except for the reading portion, and there's definitely a sense of them being twins. But even though they're twins, there are differences, so each has its own distinct charm. Since it's a café meant to be enjoyed at home imagining family or a girlfriend nearby, in terms of what impression each gave me: Wakaba-chan felt gentle and polite, leaning more toward a girlfriend vibe, while Futaba-chan felt bright and friendly, leaning more toward a little sister vibe. Both the girlfriend and little sister vibes are wonderful. I also felt differences in the massage and ear cleaning parts. Wakaba-chan was characterized by sweet breathing sounds, but compared to that, Futaba-chan's sweetness felt more restrained, with the massage and ear-cleaning sounds themselves feeling like the main focus. Both are very sweet, but the sweetness level is different. Wakaba-chan is like a melon and Futaba-chan is like a strawberry - that's the impression I get even from their illustrations. Both are the classic toppings you'd find on a cake, and I love both of them. Superiority isn't determined by the level of sweetness. Being able to choose which one to listen to depending on your mood that day is the ultimate luxury. The happiness level is top-tier for both. Wakaba-chan made me happy with her sweet breaths, but Futaba-chan makes me happy with her laughter. Futaba-chan gives the impression of laughing often. When a heroine you've come to love is laughing, that alone makes you happy. Even with Futaba-chan, the sleeping-together whispers are the best. Repeating "I like you, I like you, I love you" - every time she says she likes me, I fall more in love with Futaba-chan. It's a "like" filled with genuine feeling, and it makes me happy. Ichinose Rito-san's natural ad-lib acting is amazing as always. As someone who loves laughter, the naturalness of her laughter was the best part for me. Thanks to the depth of immersion, I could feel Futaba-chan as real, and it made me happy. This time too, I'll fall asleep to repeated "I like you"s. Goodnight, Futaba-chan.

This was a work where you could spend a relaxed, calm, healing time at the "Ear-Healing Café." What would happen if the twin sister Futaba-chan performed almost the same content as the first work, the Wakaba-chan version? ...that's the concept behind this second work, the Futaba-chan version. Even with the same script, I felt a moving impact from realizing that the difference in the voice actress and the character's personality could make it feel like such a completely different work...! Compared to Wakaba-chan, who gave a strong impression of being polite and gentle, Futaba-chan is a girl with a stronger impression of being friendly and lively. Even though the content she's speaking (= the script) is the same, the subtle differences in phrasing, the fine nuances in acting, and the subtle differences in the ASMR sounds like ear cleaning and head spa all combine to make it feel like a truly different work - I could really feel that this ability to enjoy such differences is one of the great charms of this "Ear-Healing Café" series, and I realized this by listening to both works! Of course, this work's healing and sleep-inducing effects are guaranteed as well. After relaxing with the head spa, ear cleaning, and ear-blowing, comes the whispered reading aloud, followed by the sleeping-together, all-affirming whispers - just as plentifully healing as with Wakaba-chan. In the Wakaba-chan version, I fell asleep multiple times during the whispered reading, but in the Futaba-chan version, I fell asleep multiple times during the ear cleaning that came before it, never quite making it to "The Bremen Town Musicians" - I even enjoyed that kind of difference. Depending on my mood, I can choose to listen like "Today, maybe I'll let Wakaba-chan heal me with her gentle voice and sounds" or "Today, maybe I'll be healed by listening to lots of Futaba-chan's bashful laughter" - this "Ear-Healing Café Series" is a healing work I really love, one that I feel I'll keep listening to over and over and continue being healed by.

My expectations were already pretty high after the Wakaba version, but it's high quality as always. When it comes to ad-libbing ASMR, Ichinose-san really is the strongest, after all... Compared to Wakaba-chan, the distance feels closer, or rather, it's a more casual, easygoing distance. You can listen to it with a feeling like you're hanging out with a female friend. Well, the sleeping-together part does feel kind of lovey-dovey and romantic, but that's a separate thing. The volume as ASMR was just right too, and it worked incredibly well for falling asleep. I slept like a rock.
