[Fan-Made ASMR] ASMR Archive: Shiroko Chapter

I'll write my thoughts and then a rundown of the flow of the work. First, my impressions. I don't really know much about voice actors or vocal qualities, but if you've played the original and heard "Memory," you'll probably understand that this is pretty high in completion quality. I haven't played the original in a while, but it brought back the fun memories of playing it, like "oh right, this was the kind of story it was, and this is the kind of girl she was." As for the flow of the work, it's structured as: ear cleaning in left-right order (finished off with a cotton swab), some light chit-chat about ear cleaning, and finally a little chill-inducing bonus service at the end. The voice quality is stable too, and like Shi□ko-chan, it's alluring in places. Personally, I feel the voice volume is a bit louder relative to the ear-cleaning sounds compared to other works. Gentlemen and ladies who usually listen to more "unsound" works late at night might find it easier to get into if they imagine listening to it in the early afternoon instead—that should reduce any resistance quite a bit. I'm still a fairly new listener, but there seem to be more and more high-quality audio works even at low prices, and I think this work is one of them. It's plenty affordable even with spare change or points, so I really hope people will give it a try. ...And honestly, as a fan, I'd love to see a sequel, haha.

The runtime is about 50 minutes. Considering the price, the cost-performance isn't bad at all. Compared to CG collections and the like, fan-made audio works aren't all that common, but this is a valuable example of one. Given that this is a circle with a long history of activity and high acclaim, I think the work's charm alone is enough to earn high praise, even without factoring in that it's derivative work. Also, the content is your standard ear-cleaning & healing fare typical of this genre, so I think it can be enjoyed whether or not you're familiar with the original. She's described as a quiet, low-energy type, but she's shown to have a surprising depth of detailed knowledge. There are a lot of lines during the ear cleaning where she explains the situation, lines you just want to listen to over and over, and I felt this really nailed the appeal points of this kind of audio work.

This is an ASMR work themed around the character who could be called the poster girl of what might be called Ki○ra's version of GT○, Bl○ Archive. Deeble Rust-san's derivative ASMR works based on gacha games always impress with how much respect for the original work they show, and this one is no exception in terms of quality. As you can tell from the sample, the voice actress's performance is wonderful. The tone of her speech and the pacing of her lines are matched very closely, and while the voice itself isn't an exact match, the image of Shi○ko cleaning your ears naturally comes to mind. This is a feat that couldn't be pulled off without a deep understanding of the character on the part of both the voice actress and the circle. Of course, the ASMR aspect isn't lacking either—the ear-cleaning sounds have a solid sense of pressure that's more than enough to induce relaxation and drowsiness. I'd love for this to become an ongoing series, and to hear works featuring that character and this character as well.
