I really can't say anything but "amazing"! If there's any downside, maybe it's the slight shock of waking up to reality and realizing Fran-chan isn't there? lol I think this is top-tier even among binaural voice works, and not just Fran fans — even fans of Tange-san herself would be satisfied with this!
If you're perceptive, you might sense it from the sample, but this time, what seems like the usual peaceful disc of lovey-dovey moments with Fran-chan... is actually a trap!!! There's a development hinting at [bereavement]. So that's what "Genre chosen by the reviewer: age gap" meant. If you're not okay with that, seal away Tracks 1 and 4. Seriously. It was rough for a few days. But I love it anyway. Since it's Gensokyo, maybe if you ask the Hell squad, taking about 100 years, they could... do something about it, I hope... Other works have touched on the difference in lifespans before, but in this one, it seems several years have passed since "you" died, so the emotional impact is on a whole different level. The story of Fran-chan worrying because "you" haven't come to visit in a while, and the way it wraps up with even more tender, love-struck moments than usual — this is a must-listen. As for the vocal track "Promise Process Primal," its lyrics and metaphors evoke the content of this disc, and listening to it after the main story is so well-crafted it'll bring you to tears. Please listen to this one too, by all means.
With Tange Sakura as the voice, ahh, it's just too wonderful! It's impressive how well it fits such an innocent, childlike Fran-chan. And being all lovey-dovey with Fran-chan gives a bit of a poignant feeling too — I love that about it as well... Also, the vocal track! I love it so much!
