[Arcanadea ASMR] Lumitia Special Edition – Sweetly Sandwiched Between Light & Dark Lumitia (CV: Kaede Hondo)

This is basically just Evil Lumitia pretending to prank you while actually spoiling you rotten! lol Getting swept up by Evil Lumitia, Lumitia gradually started doing the same things too, and both my ears were in absolute bliss. The hot spring scene with Lumitia, Evil Lumitia, and the three of us was the best. The ear cleaning from both of them was so good I wanted it to go on forever. Is this girl really supposed to be Lumitia's alter ego? Isn't she a little too amazing? The ending got a bit touching too. Evil Lumitia is such a good girl.

This is part of the Kotobukiya plastic model works ASMR series. It's the second one featuring the same character. While it includes segments related to the sounds and situations of plastic model building as its concept, it's also a generous, all-in-one package that doesn't skimp on ASMR staples like ear cleaning either. You can really feel the seriousness of the content, with no compromises made anywhere. What deserves special mention is the voice actress's skill. Having one actor play multiple roles happens occasionally in anime, but usually it's for minor characters that you don't really pay attention to in the first place. When one person plays multiple main roles, it tends to be in comedic episodes carried by sheer momentum. That's the polar opposite of what ASMR as a medium is about. The difficulty of pulling off multiple roles in ASMR, a genre specialized in sound, is beyond imagination. And yet Kaede Hondo, the voice actress for Lumitia, pulls this off perfectly. She consistently expresses the delicate balance of the two characters being similar yet different, all the way through to the end. In respect for her skill, I recommend this as the greatest and strongest ASMR work.

Elements from the first installment's Lumitia arc and Verrutta arc are scattered throughout, so I think you'll enjoy it even more if you're familiar with those. Also, I loved the gap between what you'd expect—Evil Lumitia being a mischievous prankster—and how she's basically cheering Lumitia on the whole time. Evil Lumitia, knowing she can't exist for long, still pushes Lumitia forward while never forgetting to comfort Master... that was the best. It made me want to try taking some plastic model photos to match the situations in this work.
