It's been a while since a Scarlet sisters release, so I bought it immediately. Their past works have melted my brain and ears with Lady Remilia's kudere charm, so I hit play with sky-high expectations for what this one would bring. I nearly stopped breathing. The corners of my mouth flew off and got stuck in the wall. In the Remi-Fura parts you get to savor her adorable charisma, and in Remilia's solo parts you get pure charisma. Lady Remilia flustering and stammering as Flan teases her is just so good. Flan's cuteness also breaks through the stratosphere. (Tange-san, you're amazing.) Recommended for anyone who wants to be melted by Remi-Fura. I want to be toyed with even more.
I've been listening to the old work as my go-to for falling asleep, and I honestly believe there are no other voice actresses who match my mental image of these Touhou characters as perfectly as these two. Every time I listened I'd think, "I wonder if a new one will come out... probably not," but to think one actually did! Being tempted from both ears meant I couldn't fall asleep at first, but before I knew it I was out. I still haven't listened all the way through properly, but this is without a doubt Earl Grey's finest work. If it's at all possible, please keep releasing new Remilia and Flan works into the world.
Just as the title says, this was a work that melts you with how adorably sweet the Scarlet sisters are together. You get to enjoy different kinds of charm in the sisters' shared parts versus their individual parts. When they're together, Flan teasing her big sister while clearly having fun with it, and Lady Remilia showing such cute reactions to being teased, were both incredibly cute. In the individual parts, they show a cuteness that only comes out because it's just the two of you alone with each one, and I was melting the whole way through. Flan being so straightforward with her feelings is cute, and Lady Remilia conveying her feelings while looking embarrassed was also really wonderful! Also, for Track 4's nap scene, listening to it while lying down really felt like the two of them were right there on either side of me. Just that alone made me feel so happy, and I got to fully enjoy their lovey-dovey affection too — I realized with delight that this must be the power of Lunatic difficulty. And the sleep-together loop tracks from Track 5 onward had really wonderful conversations told in such a calm, soothing atmosphere. The content is completely different between the right ear and left ear, so I think it'll be fun to choose which one to loop depending on my mood that day.
