Summer, Cyan Radio

The long-awaited "Natsu, Shian Radio" is finally here! It's September, but still hot, so it's summer (poker face). So, about this radio show — it's a summer-themed radio program hosted by Akizuki Yuto-san and Nogi Yusei-san. From start to finish, it was such an energetic show that the audio nearly cracked from all the shouting. There's apparently a recurring segment where they use dice to decide on roles for a talk, and true to cyan's style (?), the roles were all quirky and eccentric in one way or another. You could tell no matter which role came up, it'd probably turn into chaos — but then there turned out to be a man beloved by the dice, and I burst out laughing! The combinations of the roles were... just godly! There were summer-appropriate topics, but also some serious talk that only voice actors could give! It's a two-part structure, and Tatsuta Ueo-san joins as a guest for the second part, "Shian Radio 02." He ended up being the valuable straight man to these two overly free-spirited guys, but he ended up being even more free-spirited than them, so it all just turned into a chaotic mess. Everyone was so full of energy that I found myself picturing an old candy-shop grandma watching over them all, muttering "Oh you kids... so lively..." The chaos of these boys is just so much fun. Also, personally, I did some analysis and thought the guy who got labeled as an "M" might actually be more of an "S"... but well, let's just say everyone's an M, we're all M together, happily! Let's all get tied to the ship together! I hope this radio show becomes an annual tradition! Maybe even twice a year, like once during winter break too... Looking forward to more energetic chaos!

The talk between these three, each with so many different traits, was so much fun that the hour flew by in an instant!!! Also, since it was recorded with binaural mics, everyone's voices felt so close it was heavenly! It felt like I was right there participating in the show with them. The first episode featured Akizuki Yuto-san and Nogi Yusei-san, and the second episode had guest Tatsuta Ueo-san joining in for a chaotic, laughter-filled time from start to finish. Of course, there was the famous dice talk segment that's a Cyan staple! Nogi-san's incredible luck, clearly blessed by the dice gods, was something else! Akizuki-san staying fully committed to his role without breaking character the whole time was hilarious too, lol. Starting from the second episode, guest Tatsuta-san appears! You get to hear the dice talk dig deeper into Tatsuta-san's personality! There's also advice from his seniors Akizuki-san and Nogi-san, as well as some sincere conversation among the three of them. They talk passionately and coolly about the profession of voice acting, so this part is a must-listen! It was an hour packed with laughter from beginning to end! After listening, my stomach and cheeks hurt from smiling so much. I'm already looking forward to next year's "Natsu, Shian Radio"☆

The cyan radio series makes yet another comeback! This time, it's released as a streaming work on Garumani. This installment includes two episodes, each a little over 30 minutes long. #01 features this time's hosts, Nogi Yusei-san and Akizuki Yuto-san, in a fun, chaotic chat. In particular, the professional and thorough summer heat countermeasures talk from Nogi-san is a must-listen! Makes you wonder if Akizuki-san got to see Nogi-san's sunglasses look after recording. #02 dives into guest Tatsuta Ueo-san, offering a mix of somewhat serious talk and some playful teasing from his two seniors. Especially notable is the advice from the experienced Nogi-san to newcomer Tatsuta-san about free talk. Everyone seems so comfortable together, it's hard to believe this was the first time they had a real face-to-face conversation! And of course, their signature dice talk segment is alive and well, which is great to see! Don't miss Nogi-san's amazing luck in #01! The cyan radio series, which shows up again just when you've almost forgotten about it, is content I hope continues for a long time to come!
