It's just absurd. Given the premise—a voice work where a somewhat downer-ish older woman quietly talks with you in a park at dusk—you'd expect something soothing, something nostalgic. But what she actually talks about is "garbage lies." About once every 30 seconds, she brings up some random topic and rattles off a fake bit of trivia that may or may not sound vaguely credible. There's no teasing tone, no smugness about it—just an endless, deadpan stream of garbage lies... What even is this. Of course, it doesn't stay at that pace for over an hour. The garbage lies evolve--- The lies, which started at once every 30 seconds, speed up to once every 15 seconds, then once every 10 seconds! What little small talk there was gets trimmed away even further as she transforms into a garbage-lie production machine. What did this woman even come here to do... That said, it's not like there's no value in listening, no value for the price. Some of the lies are actually pretty amusing and pop up constantly, so I don't think it's suited for background listening while working. But when you want to empty your head a little—say, while riding a train, or like in the work itself, sitting still on a bench at dusk—listening intently, you somehow feel like you've gained something hard to put into words. A strange, curious work.

Truth in advertising. This woman really is utterly, hopelessly garbage. If you're looking at this work's page hoping for a sweet moment with an onee-san, turn right around and head a little further down to Miyajiya instead. In particular, the lie she tells near the end of "Track 02: Part-time Job" is unforgivable no matter how much of a garbage person she is. I genuinely felt like a huge hole had opened in my chest, thinking I might never get to see her again. "Track 03: Invincible" is my favorite in particular—it's the chorus part of this work, the pineapple on the churrasco skewer, so to speak. With her gentle voice, lies come pouring into your brain one after another like a dam breaking. And every single one of them is high-purity garbage. If this were the voice of some toothless old guy you'd see at the smoking area in Akabane, I'd have already punched him out. But when it's the onee-san's voice (CV: Mochinashi Amu), it's actually comforting somehow. Even though she's this much of a garbage person, I find myself wanting to cherish this quiet, unremarkable happiness of just being with her right now. I love this lady. I think a lot of people are curious about this work because it became a trend among the shady folks lurking in the depths of Twitter, but honestly, getting this much content for one coin is a steal. The runtime is more than satisfying too. Personally, this was also a genre I'd been wanting for a long time, so I'd have bought this even at 1500 yen. Anyone who skimps on their pocket money for doujin voice works can't call himself a real man. To me, harubaado-ya looks like a Jesus Christ gone mad. Anyway, this work is a must-buy. If we don't buy it, there won't be a sequel. Let's all come back to meet the garbage onee-san again.
