A pushy kouhai (who you're not dating) is a genre both you and I love, and I believe this is the first time Yui Asami has voiced this kind of role. While she can't hide her romantic feelings and pushes forward with lap pillows, ear cleaning, and invitations to stay over and even barges into the bath with you, the "little devil" and "clingy/annoying" elements are kept to a minimum, making her a heroine whose pure-heartedness comes through front and center. I love it.

I was able to fully experience and be healed by that bittersweet romantic atmosphere so common in student days—where you both vaguely notice the other's affection for you, but can't quite be sure if it's romantic love or not. In a relationship like this, one that might seem frustratingly slow from the outside, the flirting before you actually start dating might just be the most fun part for the two people involved...! Aoba, the circle kouhai voiced by Yui Asami, is endearing in the way her affection for the listener spills out during conversation, and her assertiveness gives you a little flutter of excitement too. I'd say this work is mainly about enjoying the exchanges with Aoba, but the ASMR sound effects are also pleasant, and there are moments during the healing scenes where Aoba's lines pause for a while, so it might unexpectedly work well as a piece to fall asleep to as well.
