Dragon Ear Cleaning: Hero, Become Mine While I Clean Your Ears! ~Selfish Dragon Demon Lord Astaroth~

First of all, I don't recommend buying this work for the purpose of falling asleep. The reason is obvious. It's super noisy. Sure, you could say it's healing, but it's the kind of healing that blows away your bad feelings with a typhoon of energy, not a gentle, enveloping kindness. Depending on the person, it might actually tire you out more. Strictly speaking, it's not so loud overall that you can't sleep at all, but tracks 3 and 5 are so energetic that they'll blow your drowsiness away, so I'd recommend starting from the parts after those. However, haven't all you otaku out there dreamed of being the exhausted, sighing guardian figure who gets dragged around by an arrogant, haughty, selfish, energetic, yet lonely girl, all while shrugging and going along with it anyway? I really want those of you who have to give this a listen. No detailed spoilers here. Please lie down on your bed and enjoy listening, imagining you're having a conversation with a cute Demon Lord, throwing in the occasional retort along the way.

This is a work where a slightly silly, energetic dragon girl does ear cleaning while chattering loudly right by your ear, so it's a bit unsuited as a companion for sleep. AND THAT'S WHY I LIKED IT. Thanks to the incredible acting skill of Ms. Yukiyo Fujii, it becomes a work that's noisy but never unpleasant, the kind that naturally brings a smile to your face! The way this character's tension goes up and down like a roller coaster reminds me of a certain Sunday morning anime themed around screws... Personally, my favorite listening point is the ear-blowing track. This time the ear-blowing comes with an "enchantment" attached, and I wondered how exactly that would be expressed... turns out it's all handled purely through Yukiyo-sama's acting (I was floored). Pulling off fire-breath ear-blowing and ice-breath ear-blowing through acting alone is just go(rilla)-- I mean, Yukiyo-sama's acting ability is truly hat-worthy, so please give it a listen!

An audio work about 2 hours long. The dragon demon lord Astaroth heals you with ear cleaning and other things. The voice actress is Yukiyo Fujii. Her confident, domineering voice acting fitting for a demon lord was great. As several other reviewers have pointed out, the voice has a rather assertive feel to it, so it might not be very suited for peaceful sleep. But that assertive voice paired well with the ear-cleaning sound effects and such. Also, I thought it was very dragon-like that the ear-blowing came in the form of fire breath or ice breath. Amid all that, having non-dragon-like situations like tooth brushing served as a nice accent. Rather than feeling soothed while listening, it felt more like a work that gave you energy. I think works like this are a minority among ASMR works (especially all-ages ones), so in a sense, it's a rather precious one.
