Snip Snip, Shampoo, Whispers in Your Ear — The Hair Salon Where the Customer Sits Too Close, Part 2: A Friendly Country Girl Who Moved to the City

What a wonderful era it is, being able to fall asleep listening to Aipon's voice. The sweet, healing voice tickling my eardrums melts all the way down to my brainstem. Especially her breaths, which are so sweetly saccharine that it feels like honey is being poured straight into my ears. My recommended tracks are 05 (Shampoo) and 06 (Scalp Massage). In the shampoo track, the sound of the fluffy lather and her finger movements feel incredibly good. In track 06, the perfectly calibrated pressure of the massage lulls you straight into dreamland. And this is my personal favorite part - at the very end, she even covers your ears for you. It's really too much. It completely disarms you. I hope Aipon will do voice works in all kinds of other situations in the future too. Personally, I'd love something like a bratty little girl (mesugaki) type. This is recommended not only for Aipon's fans, but also for anyone who likes shampoo-type sounds, anyone who wants to hear a cute voice up close, and anyone looking to heal their mental and physical fatigue.

She was really cute and it was great. ▲ I got to enjoy a fun conversation with the heroine, and the pressure during the massage and shampoo scenarios felt great, and I could really feel the whispers by my ear and the sound of her sweet breaths too - I had a really fun time overall. ■ I got to enjoy her cute dialect and realistic sounds, and her close distance made my heart skip a beat at times, and my ears were healed by the voice actress's voice too, and throughout the whole thing I found myself thinking "she's definitely completely attached to me here, haha" - that's the kind of exchange with her, so to speak... This is an ASMR work where the barber, voiced by Ai Nonaka, talks to you in dialect from start to finish. In what seems to be either a Hakata-style or Nagasaki-style dialect (sorry if I'm wrong), she's cheerful and warms up to you right from the start. Her momentum is such that she doesn't even give the listener room to respond - she just keeps talking. On and on! By the time she starts the actual cut, you'll find yourself completely swept up in the barber's pace. This is a work that gives you healing in a noisy space that's the exact opposite of silence. Nonaka's performance is, as expected, superb - she's probably talking almost entirely by herself for quite a long stretch, yet it flows along naturally without ever feeling unsteady. If there's one thing to regret, it's that the sound effects used in the work don't quite match the imagery. Like a "bash" sort of sound when combing through the hair, and the sound of the scissors cutting hair feels somehow heavy and dull. It should be a crisp "snip snip" cutting sound, but instead there are a lot of "chunk" and "clack" sounds - while it's not an unpleasant sound per se, sometimes it makes you think "wait, what's she cutting right now?"
